Does solving one problem create another even larger problem? Why?
-Yes, because the chemical dispersants that are being used to solve the oil spill are more toxic than the oil spill it's self. The dispersants can be just as deadly as the spill.
Which do you think is worse; oil spill or the chemical dispersant?
-I think that the chemical dispersant is worse because it is 4 times as toxic as the oil. Also, the dispersants are making the oil sink to the bottom of the water, this made the people believe that it was gone when in reality it made the oil have a strong effect on the bottom dwelling marine animals too. Even when the oil spill is cleaned up the dispersants will still remain in the water and atmosphere. When the chemical is dumped into the water it also gets spayed into the atmosphere because it is not put directly into the water, but sprayed by a plane near the waters surface.
